Senior Risk Manager – Digital

 Our client is a leading Hong Kong based financial services group listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, serving the needs of customers throughout Greater China and beyond, with the operation one of the largest branch networks in Hong Kong.  She is dedicated to providing comprehensive corporate banking, personal banking, wealth management, and investment services to its customers in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and other major markets around the world.  She is looking for a high-calibre Executive to join her Risk Strategy & Governance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Build a firm foundation of risk & control within the world of digitalization encompassing the areas of strategy, governance, business engagement, policy, risk assessment, and awareness
  • Provide oversight and monitor risk & controls for technology and digital channels whilst upholding the regulatory requirements and the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Provide a focal point of control over the technology risk in the virtual bank and digital channels, including the oversight and assessment of effective controls and systematic monitoring of the risk
  • Contribute to a best practice digital risk management team
  • Assist with the decision-making process for adequately addressing these risks, and ensuring collaboration with appropriate stakeholders from 1st and 2nd  to ensure the risks are actively monitored and managed
  • Assist the company’s response to managing and meeting technology and digital risk, control, and regulatory requirements including areas such as outsourcing, new product and business initiatives

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ industry experience in technology and/or risk management (preferably operational risk management)
  • Experience of technology regulatory or business landscape in one of more of the following areas:Educational background in computer science, information security or finance (accounting or law)
  • Strong knowledge on information security, cyber security, technology risk management, privacy, cloud technology, automation, network and data security, machine learning, artificial intelligence, payment products
  • Ability to cope with the evolution of the technology risk governance compared to a traditional bank
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, business, innovative and inquisitive mindset, tech savy
